Salzburg Day Trip from Munich in English
Our Salzburg tours bring you to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. A day trip to one of Europe’s most beautiful and romantic cities, the home of The Sound of Music and Mozart.
Spend a magical day with us across the border in Austria as we visit the gorgeous baroque city of Salzburg, a place so precious that it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Medieval fortresses, beautiful alpine scenery, historic cathedrals, iconic movie locations, and some of the best chocolate and confectionary in the world: Salzburg is the highlights of a two week European trip packed into one day.
We’ll show you all the important sights of Salzburg – such as the famous Salzburg “Dom” – Cathedral, St. Peter’s church, the Mirabell Gardens, or the elegant promenades along the banks of the river Salzach. And if you are a fan of the Sound of Music, you must see Salzburg. Salzburg is only a two-hour train ride from Munich, making it perfect for a day trip.
Salzburg is simply one of Europe’s most special cities. The historic Salzburg Old Town is compact and walkable, and can easily be experienced in one day. We’ll walk you through Salzburg and give you an orientation, supply you with a map and plenty of advice, and then you’ll have time to explore historic Salzburg for yourself.
Never pass on an opportunity to see Salzburg. You’ll remember it forever.
-
All our tours meet in the Radius Tours Office, located at Dachauer Straße 4, 80335 Munich.
-
Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the starting time for your visit to Salzburg? Our tours depart promptly at the advertised time.
-
Be sure to wear suitable clothing and comfortable shoes, as we’ll mainly be outside and a reasonable amount of walking is involved. For most of the year, Salzburg has a very pleasant climate, and perfect for tours, but the warm summer months experience occasional rain showers. Winter can be cold. Please consult the weather forecast before meeting us, and dress accordingly. We advise you to bring water on hot summer days. Our tours go, no matter what the weather.
-
Yes, please! It is customary to tip in Munich and Bavaria, and our tour guides certainly appreciate your generosity. They work hard to make our tours perfect, and tips are an important part of their income.
